Just as our train was pulling into Athens, the remainder of the crew still in Trikala were being woken by Billy… he was insisting on a 50km ride to blow away the boozy hangovers they all had unbelievably they agreed to go. It’s really beautiful up north, the countryside around Trikala is lush and green with plenty of sheep -bit like Wales really! Looks like they had a nice ride…

TRIKALA ALLEY CAT WEEKEND
Busted up! -thats about all we can say about the state of VCA after this weekend! Bikes n Booze, always an awesome combination. A mega result of 106 people registered for the race and almost all made it to the finish line. The checkpoints involved steps and cooking! - yep there was a checkpoint were you had to make a cheese pie! Fun Fun Fun. At the end of the race the rain came down, a refreshing shower for the riders! The the winners are Christos, Elena and Dimitris in 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively. At 19 years old Christos shows great promise as a rider, and with second place going to Elena it just goes to highlight the ability of these riders. Well done! The athens Crew came in soon after. The party rocked on until the Police shut us down at about 2.30 or something…we then hit a bar and continued the party until our 6am train came to take us back to Athens. Ahh, good times indeed. Big hugs out to Podilates Trikalon who organised the whole event -just an awesome bunch of people.

TRIKALA WEEKEND No 2
We are off!…to Trikala for the alley cat race. It’s kinda crazy cos we’ve booked train tickets for 8am tomorrow and return tickets for the 6am train on sunday! Team VCA is defiantly gonna get no sleep (‘till brooklyn -sorry we are still mourning Adam Yauch). So who’s up for getting smashed tomorrow? …see ya there. Oh sorry, because of the race VCA will be closed tomorrow -Saturday 19th.
Also note for Peio fans -unfortunatly he is still in Austria visiting his uncle Josef Fritzl, so will not be coming with us.

The sweat, beer, smoke and hell loud rock n roll of K/S are now just a sweet memory. Which gig was your favourite? Acid Baby Jesus? Davila 666? Hellshovel? The Mongrolettes? Bazooka? Ruined Families? Crash Normal? In-Sane? Cheap Time? Despite Everything? 700 Machines? 202 Project? .. that is if you can remember them (not if you ever drank Mida De Coco!). The doorman was an Ass tho.

HOW A BICYCLE IS MADE
This 1945 film was discovered in the vaults at Raleigh and handed over to the British Film council. It’s just spiffing! we love the language as much as we love the bicycles! Mass production like this is a thing of the past in Britain. Raleigh themselves ceased frame building in Notting in the summer of 1999, and on the 10th December that year auctioned off all of their frame building equipment…and that (as they say) was that. Do watch this it’s a super window in time.
